The Makery is a community craft workshop in Wantage, Oxfordshire, UK with a sustainable stash, craft clubs, workshops, makers markets, woollen repairs and visible mending.

As part of 'The World’s Largest Craft Club!', Stacey of @PatchworkPages.Studio in collaboration with @worldwidecraftclub, will be running a Scrap and Yap Junk Journalling event at The Makery.
Create something from nothing using a buffet of materials and resources. Make pages filled with creative collaging guided by Stacey with her creative ideas. Please bring a journal/notebook to work in and any photos or ephemera you want to use. There will be a special event sticker sheet for each attendee!
'The World’s Largest Craft Club' is a way to celebrate offline, worldwide connection. In collaboration with @worldwidecraftclub, over 28 craft clubs across 5 countries will be hosting meet-ups on the weekend of June 27th & 28th using similar materials and themes to share our love of crafts, journalling and memory-keeping in the digital age.

Scrap & Yap Workshop

The Makery will be supporting Sustainable Wantage and The Beacon to bring you a Great Big Green Week Clothes Clinic! Bring your old clothes and show them some new love or pick from our haul of reclaimed clothing to get creative. 

There will be stations to help you repair, alter, embellish and repurpose - from rags to riches! 

Upstairs at The Beacon will be a Preloved Clothes Sale so Saturday 6 June will be all about sustainable style! Opt out of fast fashion and express yourself!
